sigma 80-400 & 30D problems

Just after a little info guys, seem to be having problems with my lens firstly the OS packed up on it and it was giving me Error 1 messages so i sent it back to be fixed i got it back last weekend and its still giving me error 1 messages with the OS turned on, the lens-camera work fine with the OS off tho. ive tryed it on my 300D and it works fine with the OS on and off so im thinking could it need rechipping? the lens is just 1 year old and i thought only really old ones needed chipping. or could it be the camera?

Might well need re-chipping. Try contacting Sigma UK. They are usually pretty good I hear.

its just come back from them, getting a bit sick of running around with it now told them about the error 1 messages and what camera it was used on. looks like they havent tested it fully before they sent it out to me
