Sigma Circular Polarisers

Okay, thought I should pick up a half decent polariser for my Olympus e500 (+ 2 kit lenses) and was looking at the Sigma 58mm Circular Polariser. Has anyone had any experience with these filters? Are they recommended?

The Hoya 58mm is £74.99 and the Sigma is £49.99. I always thought Sigma was a respectable make and at this point £25 means I get to eat tonite!

What the? The Hoya 58mm circular polarizer is £30 tops.

The one on the site I am buying my other gear is the Hoya 58mm PRO-1D Circular Polariser Filter, that's why its more expensive. The sigma one is the Sigma 58mm Wide Multi-Coated Circular Polarizing filter.

Would the Sigma be good enough do you think?

Hell, the £30 is fine. Don't buy the super pro model. Just a normal Hoya will be fine.

Not that I know off. Hoya is a very well known and popular brand. Perfectly fine to buy.

I've just bought a 77m Hoya Pro1 Polarizer and whilst it's expensive (£130) everyone says it's worth it. Also, all of my 3 lenses have 77mm threads so I don't need to buy any more in different sizes \o/
