Sigma EX 17-35mm f2.8-4

as per the title i am looking at this lens. looks pretty good from the reviews i have read.

does anyone know of or have this lens could give me their opinions would be much appreciated

also this is a digital lens isnt it, will work on my 350d right?

I think I'd recommend the Sigma 18-50 2.8 EX based on the reviews.

Another vote for the 18-50 2.8, I love this little lens.

i really dont like the 17-35, i used one briefly and it isnt nice, the focus ring is very loose, its too big and heavy, i know its an f2.8, but it isnt 2.8 throughout the range.

think id have to recomend the 18-50 too.

The focus ring isn't loose in the slightest. And imo its the perfect size and weight. It's a very sharp lens with lovely colour reproduction.
