Just brought a Sigma UC Zoom 70-210mm off eBay and it doesn't fit my Nikon D80 even though I was told it would...is there an adapter I can buy to make it fit?

That depends what mount it is. Can you post a pic even if you don't know what mount the lens has?

Firstly if the seller told you it would fit send it back.

Secondly its almost certain that even if you get an adaptor you wont have auto focus or metering so it will be full manual mode and manual focus only.
