Hey guys

Whilst trying to play The walking dead my computer crashed, the sound of the game started looping and this is what I was presented with.

Since then when trying to game on various different games both monitors have either lost signal or shown solid colours (usually blue and green).

I have tried:

  • Reinstalling driver 296.10
Tried BIOS version F7 and F10
    Removed CPU overclock
    Set memory at 1333Mhz
    Tried CoDBO, TWD, Skyrim...
Temps are really low, usually below 45C for both CPU and GPU before crash

The crash can happen as soon as the game loads, and other times i'll be able to play for upto 20 minutes.

Rendering with the GPU and CPU is fine for hours on end, and I can watch videos fine...

Specs are:

Core i7 3930K @ stock
4 x 2GB Crucial Ballistix Elite 1866Mhz CL9 @ 1333Mhz CL11 @ 1.65V
Gigabyte X79 UD3 F10 BIOS
XFX Pro Platinum 1000W
POV GTX570 Beast Edition.
2 x Acer GD245HQ's

Thanks for any advice guys

Well if it is a driver issue I can't just use drivers older that 285.79 as they won't have support for newer games :/ Sigh

Tried the card in a friends PC with 296.10 and had the same issue, if the card is faulty does anyone know where I stand in terms of warranty given that this is already an RMA replacement, do I get a new warranty with the RMA replacement or am I stuck with my original warranty which has most likely expired?

My card comes factory overclocked to 841/1980, I decided to underclock my card to 732/1900 and was able to game for 40 minutes before closing the game myself (no crash).

So faulty card then?

IDK mate, I've done the same as I thought it was the factory clocking and it hasnt made a massive difference, although seems slightly more stable. If you're sure its the card then RMA it, bit of a coincidence we both get the same problems though. Try the 300 series drivers too.
