It's the last few moments of crunching for my PC, it's about to go.. shudder.. cold for the first time in it's three year life. It will spend the next 7 weeks in a container bound for New Zealand.
I'll still lurk about on my netbook but it's not worth crunching on!
ShadowScotland, it will be up to you to repel boarders on the DPAD front from the Pirates, 1fast6 will overtake me very soon now :(

See you all again form the other side of the world :D

Atticus, I'm filling my own 20' container on wednesday and it sails on saturday, 47 day passage and some time for customs :)

Good luck

I hope it all works out well for you, seven weeks seems a bit optomistic to me!

You've got Customs and MAF to worry about at the NZ end of things (your stuff will need to be fumigated etc) to kill pests.

You'll get to enjoy a proper Xmas with BBQ, beers and sunshine instead of the freezing miserable winter weather in Blighty though ;-)

I've got a job sorted, it was the only way I would get a visa. thankfully diesel mechanics are on the longterm skills shortage list.

Best of luck with the move. Be sure to keep up a positive attitude, it will make being in a very different place easier :)

Best of luck with the move. No more meet-ups in Oxford then (though it's been bloomin' ages - too long).

Good luck with MAF. 'Passport Patrol' on Virgin1 gives me a very good idea what that's going to be like. Based on my experiences in Oz, it's pretty accurate too.

PS - May come visit someday. NZ is on my 'to do' list. :)

Thanks for the good wishes, I do have relatives over there and I was over for last christmas for a month so I'm not going blind.

If you ever make it over Mark, drop me a line. you can pop by and have a beer and a bed!
There doesn't seem to be enough activity recently to get a meet organised, it was hard work when the forum was buzzing...

Yes mast3r, it's just me. there's no mrs matty or sproglets :)

well mate, best of luck dude, i wish you all the very best! and best of luck finding the right women over there.

My 2 brothers took thier familys out there a few years ago, Napier to be precise, they love it and I'm sure you will too.

You can still crunch for the team from there though :D, look forward to seeing your first Kiwi results coming through

Infact............

OcUK for Life :D

Good luck & Bon Voyage Diogenes:)
I don't blame you. I have a friend in Wellington [Windy City] I loved travelling the South island. Whereabouts are you going?
Don't be a stranger once things are sorted & thanks for you efforts here.

I'm going to Timaru in the south, not the most glamorous of places but that's where the work is.

Not a great start as I missed the loading slot at the shippers today and have to do it all again tomorrow:o:(
