Hi,

I'm upgrading a couple bits of my computer, and decided I could do with a new case. One thing, I don't like however is hearing my pc as it tends to be on 24/7. I already have a Zalman flower cpu cooler and a Zalman fanless cooler on the graphics card.

I was thinking of possibly the Antec Sonata 2, as it looks quite nice, but I have heard it's quite prone to make an awful noice with hard drives resonating inside the case. I wouldn't want to find this after forking out the quite that amount of money for a case. I see Artic Cooling have the Silenterium (something like that), but haven't heard any reviews about it.

My PC is not a high end gaming rig by any means, and so cooling is not a really big issue, which I suspect will make a fair bit of difference.

So what would people reccomend, preferably speaking from experience.

Thanks in advance,

John

I have no problem with hardrive noise from my Sonata 2 I've got a smasung spinpoint in there and also had an old maxtor drive while the samsung was on an RMA trip. The only thing that makes enough noise to bother me is the graphics card but there is plenty of room for a zalman cooler.

It took me a while to decide on the Sonata I looked at the silentium cases but couldn't find enough posotive feedback to sway me.
