I picked up a Lian Li PC 7+ the other day and while its fairly quiet, I was still getting a loud hard drive "hum" coming up through the desk. the case is mounted inside the desk with the front and rear open. Unfortunately the desk being made of pine, acts like a speaker cabinet and amplifies every noise/vibration to a point where I can stop by pressing down on the top of the desk.
I've since fitted a set of those soft rubber feet that damp out any vibes transmitted by the PC 7+ and my god, do they work! Now total silence. Ocuk really should stock these, I reckon they'd sell by the truck load when ppl see how well they work. Deffo recommended.
 
Yeah i have one of these cases and by god is it noisy. I think the main problem is the 2 120mm fans which can be easily replaced. Been looking at 2 new fans and some internal sound proofing for it. Im using a MDF desk with a vinyl over the top of it and with the origional feet i get no Vibration at all. whats peoples view on Sound dampening mats?

i got 4 hdds in mine and i can hear some irretating humming as well, i used rubber band s underneath the hd cage and blue tack on the panels, i can still hear the humming, i think it comes and goes but i cant pointed out. all i know it is there.

i,m using 2 120mm sharkoons so they are quiet compare to stock, its some kind of resognation or something, all my hhds are WD RE editions, so they nare reasonably quiet apart from seeking but thats ok.

here is my solution, can you post those the spec of those rubber gromets you mentioned a pic or a link please.

I 7v modded the stock fans and my case is now very quiet.
