aaah such a nice thing...
just replaced my Antec case fan that came with my Sonata I (many many moons ago) and the stock heatsink on my 7800GT with the new VF900-CU, which is using the Zalman Fanmate2 turned to low.
my CPU (4000+ @ 2.6GHz) is cooled by the wonderful Artic Freezer 64 Pro.
the only thing i hear now is the Freezer at bootup and the Raptor being accessed as well as the odd spinup from the DVD-RW
okay so it's not COMPLETELY silent, but its damn near good enough for me...
with the new case fan and GPU cooler temps have gone like so...
CPU: 32 - 30
System: 40 - 41
GPU: 47/49 - 38
i think the system heat has gone up because of the added heat generated from the VF-900 CPU has dropped a little thanks to the new case fan but a shocking reduction in GPU temperature
using nVidia's nMonitor to get temp readings as well as the graphics control panel temp monitor
does the CPU temp seem a little high?
running at 1.45v (stock)
