but they are more efficient so using fan control you may be able to reduce its speed therefore reducing noise output. This will totally depend on your case and cooling as i know those cards like to run around the 60c mark.

P_A_N_I_C said:same experience over here, i bought an arctic cooler, but after silencing everything else in my pc i could just hear the endless rattle of the loose-fanned AC. i'm pleased to say that the Zalman is much betterwhich also came with a nifty fan controller.
oh and to add the AC is a bit of a pain to fit, the Zalman is easier to fit (and cooler and quieter = winner)
