I found an old one of these earlier.

The only difference is mine has no yellow lead, just red and black.
Am I right in saying that the yellow lead is what you use to drop the fan speed when it is plugged into a fan controller?
I tried plugging it into one and it got no power at all, im guessing as there is no yellow wire on mine it just does'nt work in controllers. So if you have a fan with just a standard black and red wired molex plug, how can you drop the RPM as it is way to loud on full throttle.
Can anyone reccomend a controller that can throttle fan speeds with fans that just have the black and red molex connector.
