Looking for a compact and quiet 4-5 Bay 3.5" External Raid Enclosure..

Must be aesthetically pleasing and have following ports..

Esata
USB 3.0 or Firewire 800

Ideally would like to have esata port connected to NAS and USB/firwire to pc..

Data will be copied from PC and then available on network via NAS

Is it possible to have both ports connected if so which will get priority, do they make a NAS with a switch to switch between ports without removing cables?

Will be using Raid 5 with 2TB Hard Disks so want at least 6-7TB usuable space..

Options...

I severely doubt you'll be able to attach it by both eSATA and firewire at the same time.

I'm struggling to understand why you'd want to copy things to it via direct USB/Firewire then access this stuff from NAS.
Why not just use it as an expansion to your NAS (frow what you've said it supports this via eSATA) and copy the files to it over the network. If your network is gigabit and set up properly you should be able to max out the write speed on the RAID5.

I don't see any benefits of plugging it into the PC directly AS WELL as having it through NAS, and to do so you're having to buy a more expensive unit.
