Hi everyone,
I'm looking to replace 3 fans in my case. 2x 120mm, and 1x92mm.
I've just been reading this thread:http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18202792&highlight=quiet+case+fan

Where it seems people are saying that Sharkoons would be quietest.

This is the case I currently own with the stockfans. > http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1277&ID=1405
But what I want to know is would they be quieter than what I already have.
What I'm going for here as quiet a case as I can make it.

Cheers.

yeah they would definatley make a difference

you can't really beat sharkoons for quietness, and air effeciency.

Stock fans are only great because they come with the case, thats about it

TRy to use Enermax UCTB12 very quiet almost silent, all you can hear is air movement.I am using 1200 i 140mm.Or if you prefer red colour Enermax Magma.

The Thermaltake thunderblades that come with the Armour are extremely noisy. Ignore the TT spec for them because it's misleading to say the least. I used to have a Armour and the first thing i did was replace them. A cheap but rather good fan is the Arctic Cooling F12. I have replaced the 120mm fans in my PC-P50 and CM Scout with these and even at full speed they are pretty quiet.

Minor thread drift - know anywhere I can buy a 230mm red LED fan? like in the front of the HAF 932? ...Would like one in the side panel too :)

Hi
I have just got a 230 mm case fan from a well known Internet auction site, only found them in blue Led's so I got a bunch of pre made up 12 volt 3 mm red led's with 20 cm tails and replaced the blue ones, looks ok.

I have one of the scythe slex 1600, its on full speed most of the time and its very quiet, I never hear it over the rest of the pc.

@ EniGmA1981 if you go to Coolermaster's website they do sell them there wont link just incase I get told off

Well thanks very much for all the excellent replies.
What I gather from all your advice is that most aftermarket fans are going to be much quieter than my thunderblades.
I was hoping for a reply like pastymuncher's :D

Toss up between Sharkoon, Enermax and Gelid it is then...

oo oo, what about the 25cm fan on the side? Is it worth replacing that too?

Will do :) I haven't bought a replacement for the 25cm fan as it seems to be relativly quiet anyway. Also I don't think my PSU is the quietest...it's likely that it will be the noisiest thing in my system.

No point in me replacing my PSU until next major upgrade though. :(
