Hi all, im back to get some guidance on purchasing a silent/very quiet case for my NAS/Server system.

It currently resides in one of my back bedrooms but as i live in a quiet area (no road noise, hardly anything to be honest) i can hear the vibration/noise of the system in through the walls when trying to sleep :)

currently the server is in an old case, non branded. the HDDs are mounted in a metal chassis which has small rubber gromits to hold the HDDs but there is no sound deadening and currently only PSU and heatsink fan.

So it needs to fit an ATX motherboard which is running my q9550 and room for at least 5 HDDs. i will most likely be looking for a silent PSU cooler but for now just the case !

thanks,

Edit: budget max £100 but would prefer nearer £50
2nd Edit: I also have a Bitfenix Shinobi for my gaming system. Would it be worth buying a silence kit for that and get a new case for gaming?

Shinobi would be quite silent with a silencing kit, low rpm fans and perhaps a passive psu or a good psu which only spins up on high load? So when its not in use much at night it is pure silence

ordered the silencing kit so will have to transfer everything across and hopefully will be quiet enough.

now just need a suitable case for my gaming pc.
