Hi, im looking to go towards a new silent case.
I know the likes of fractal are no longer with ocuk so that and the quality issues are out the list, but are there any other decent cases that might fit my components??

I have 5 hdd's, an atx board and 6950 card which measures about 11" also have noctua NH-D14 cooler

I was looking at the cooler master 550 silencio but then thought maybe its too small. also been looking at the nzxt h630 but don know if these are any good.

Yeah they used to but stopped bcos of quality issues.

I'm still not sure what to get I keep looking at the bit fenix range and the nzxt h630. The more I look the I think I might go with the nzxt unless someone can convince me otherwise with something nicer

I've been umming and ahhing over cases and component selection for weeks now, part of me wants to build a system into a Prodigy or Phenom, another part wants me to get a Fractal R4(or Arc Midi R2).

I can see the appeal with the nzxt h630, it's look like a stunning case, i just can't justify putting that much of my budget into a case like that myself, i think something in the £50 - £85 range will suit my needs(don't need to spend £100+ to get a case with a good internal design).

The R4 is the number one contender right now for me, why? 140mm fans all round, HDD bay placement is very flexible(can even be flipped round 180 degrees), 25mm of space between the mobo tray and the side panel(which is really nice), sound dampening, fan controller and more. It's got every feature i want in from a case(i've been looking for hours today already)...

The quality issues i've never heard or read about, but it's making me very hesitant now, as i'd have to pick one up from another supplier when i'd prefer to be getting it from OCUK, as they've never let me down when it's come to customer service. Oh well, maybe i'll risk it, maybe not..

Corsair would be my second choice(if i do opt for an ATX/mATX build), build quality looks pretty good and customer service seems really good from what i've been reading.

There's too much choice, i imagine i'll still be deciding for weeks yet..

I got my fractal R4 from OC, not a mark on it and nice and plain...no stupid whizzy fans and glowing lights all over it (other than the overly bright power led).

I did go with the R4 in the end, cannot fault it whatsoever, and lolz... you should have seen the size of the box it came in, with more air bags then i've seen in one order. Can't mention where i purchased the case, but suffice to say it arrived undamaged and in full working order.

Amazing case, money extremely well spent... even paid for the window in the end and not regretting the purchase in any way. Still trying to get hold of a camera, but i'll link my other thread here with the pics as and when.. :)

P.S. TooMuchCheese was me, was a temporary account whilst i was having login troubles on this one.

It's an outstanding case for the money, the 6x140mm fan slots make it very easy to keep quiet. It's also got one of the nicer shaped windows I've seen on a case. No ugly fan slot.
