looking for the quietest case I can get.
Will be used in the living room for games, tv etc.

Spec would be around -
two hdds(sata), one optical drive, graphics card (9800pro or better), amd processor (around the 3Ghz mark) and two pci cards, ATX motherboard and standard atx powersupply.

Max price would be about £80 and would prefer a smaller case if I had a choice, what cases should I be looking at?
Style wise I would want it to look at home next to the telly etc, so something sleek with no bright/flashing lights etc

Lian Li pc7+ and just swap the fans over if you're not happy or if you could get a micro-atx motherboard go for the soon to be released Silverstone tj08 - micro atx case that has 2x120mm fans and takes standard atx powersupplies = the win. :)

Silverstone SST-LC-17 Silver :)

It’s a full ATX HTPC rig but it requires a few subtle mods to release its full potential but their mostly cosmetic.

Cutting a 120mm hole just above the CPU means it gets a constant supply of fresh air and some foam padding reduces the noise of rotation spin-up.

And exactly £80 inc RMSD :p

Nice looking case, shame its as deep as it is, would quite fit under the tv, about 20mm deeper than the cab and by the time you add the cables at the back it would stick out loads :(

The other cases dont look to bad either, Like the Sonata anyone used one of thesse before?

Without trying to be too biased - The Antec Sonata II - fits your price bill - is relatively small while offering good cooling and quietness (provided you set the supplied fan to slow - and use very quiet cpu and gpu coolers.

It accomodates 4 HDs (from memory) and should look good in any environment.

Also supplies a PSU that will easily power the components you've specified and is equally quiet.

The TJ08 if your looking at the sonata should be another consideration, going for £60

For a silverstone that is mental! Although it is a revolution in mATX hopefully, would sure make a nice rig.
