Silent CPU Cooler

Scythe Ninja? And a Nexus/Yate Loon fan.

Not the cheapest option but one of the most quiet. Actually, since it is a HTPC (I take it no overclocking), you may even be able to run it passive.

Wouldnt try passive as the hot air just builds up inside case and temps just keep rising. You need some form of airflow. Cut the inbuilt fan grill out the back of the case and then use a normal fan grill and that will lower the noise a lot

My DIY skills are rubbish so anything involving cutting holes in cases is defo out. I am getting a silvertech L10 case.

Can anyone suggest what other options are open to me?

I am not familiar with that case. You could leave the exahust to the power supply right? Something like a Seasonic. 12cm fan at 700RPM. If you really need a CPU fan, then a Nexus is probably one of the best choice to go with the Ninja. Might be worth trying without first. Undervolting is also an option (I know the irony of suggesting undervolting/clocking in an "Overclocking" forum but hey, it's what some silencers do).

Does that case have an intake?
