How is the noise on the 120mm Silent Eagle fans? Im looking at getting a couple, but cant decide between the 1000 or 2000rpm version. Ideally I would like the quieter 1000 version, but does it cool things amply? If not, is the 2000 fairly quiet? I use this PC for work as well as games, and would like to be able to hear myself think!!!

Just replaced my two case fans and Tuniq tower fan with the 2000rpm Sharkoons. Yes they are quieter than the ambers they replaced and are more efficient, on average all my temps are lower by about 2 degrees. Not much lower you may asked but im happy:)

When running at full speed the front case fan is noisy but thats only due to it resonating through the case..I have a Saitek eclipse 62. The rear fan is almost silent at full speed.

My only complaint is the leads are too short so the front fan cannot reach the motherboard rendering the speed control through speedfan useless. An extension lead should fix that but cant be bothered to sort it.

My brother has just got the Antec 900 and I cant believe how noisy that thing is compared to mine:D

If I'd realised Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000's were that quiet I'd have fitted my case out with them.

The manufacturer claims 36.1 db and 76.4 cfm, figures which are normally optomistic, and suggested noise to me - obviously not the case.

I second that. Had to use extensions on all of mine. Great fans thou

they arent exactly "quiet", though the fan sound isnt the most annoying i have known.

With a fan controler they make an ace setup though, i have 6 in my case.
