Silent fan ?

Help me out guys

My new build is running sweet apart from the fan sounding louder then my mrs's doing the hoovering with our Henry the Hoover lol

The fan that's making all the noise is a corsair btw

What fan are you talking about case fan? Also what size is it

Had a quick look and the corsairs only 2db louder than that,
Properly wouldn't even notice the difference :/

I've got 2 of these on my cooler and the AF140 on the rear of the case and they are plenty silent enough for me.

The corsair fans are nice but gonna have to try the apache black as its almost have the noise of the corsair I'm running and got the same max airflow?

just thinkng about it would it be the amount of air the fans pushing thats making the noise?
or changing it to a lower db fan make that amount of difference ?

The dB numbers written in the specs of fans mean nothing whatsoever. Literally nothing. You should be able to compare two fans by the same manufacturer, but even that's not certain. Reviews (sprc in particular) are more reliable.

Maybe a few degrees but nothing major! Apache are still great fans

It's utterly pointless comparing the specs that they give as each company uses different methods to obtain them.

Interesting i thought they would ofhad to be quite close to what the stated db is on there fan specs give or a take a few dbs,

Think I will take it with a pich of salt now lol but still if I can find some of them blacks I'm gonna give them a crack, cheap as chips Aswell

Well they are, sort of. But one company might measure from 5 feet away in a closed case whereas another might measure from 12 inches away in open air. There's no standard measurement, unfortunately.
