Hi,

Can someone recommend a good quiet fan 12 mm -14 mm and a good silent ATX case?

I was looking at the Antec P100, it has good sound proofing and build quality which is what I'm mostly looking for, budget is £70. Any one have a better case in mind?

Fan budget is 10 per fan.

Thanks

Hello

A great case for silence is the Thermaltake S41 it's massive, plenty of sound proofing, hot swap drive bays - all removable to boot, great water cooling options with filters everywhere.

As for fans anything Noctua are great but tend to be expensive. If your wanting to compromise on cash the Cougar vortex's and be quiet silent wings 2 fans perform pretty well for silence

Fractal Define S if you don't mind not having 5.25" bays or you could probably pick up an Define R4 if you're not to picky on the finish and want something that allows you to use the 5.25" bays. Both are listed on OcUK site.

Thank you for the replies.

The Cougar vortex's fans looks good, has anyone tried them? How is the performance and noise level?

I like the design of the Fractal Define, would go for the Define R4.

I have a define R5 which is brilliant. Re fans, the included Fractal design fans are silent enough for me.

It's hard to determine how great random advice on the internet is, even if I like something you may not for instance.

However order a few of each fans test them out see which you prefer and the ones you don't like, send them back - although there me be a restocking fee.
