Its looking better and better. The creepy US small town has been done to death at this point, so I am looking forward to a new setting. I'm still not sold on melee only, but hopefully they have improved it from remake. I did see a Naginata, so hopefully there is a Katana as well and you can lop their arms and legs off.

Melee only? Hmm... Yea not sure about that but one thing you can guarantee if that is the case is that the game is going to be about a lot CQC and being grabbed a lot.

Hopefully they can come up with something initiative.

Combat system is terrible, everytime you make first hit to an enemy the camera pans.

Silent Hill1 never made it to PC so this is great news. Bloober did an amazing job on Silent Hill2 remake so its great news they are doing 1 as well now!

This is a great time to be a horror fan! I'm very excited about both F and the 1 remake.

I wonder if they will use their Silent Hill 2 engine, or do something more similar to the reskin of Oblivion for 1.

Their engine? As far as I am aware Silent Hill 2 was made using Unreal engine 5 which is owned by Epic games.

Sorry, using the wrong words I think. But I more meant, if they will use the same gameplay mechanics and fog etc of their remake or just put a pretty UE5 skin on top.

UE5 skin on top of what ? SH2 as far as I am aware was all UE5 from the ground up and not a hybrid like Oblivion. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Resumed playing this after God of War Ragnarok not keeping my attention even though i really enjoyed the previous game.

I am now past halfway. Hoping to compete it in a week or so and move on to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

it's time to milk this franchise with remakes! and I'm here for them all, this 2 remake was pretty decent and Silent Hill 1 was a favourite back on the PS1.
