Silent Hill 2022

A remake/remaster of Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 would be amazing!

I say that because I don’t have confidence a new game would be very good by comparison. Not sure if the original team is still around and the later games weren’t very great.

Intrigued, but will hold reservations. There has been rumours about a Silent Hill 2 remake being handled by Bloober I believe?

I have heard this as well. Bloober has a mixed bag reputation howerver there was someone that suggested that The Medium game started as a proof of concept at the dual worlds of Silent Hill but developed into its own game.

A new game and a remake of 2 would be great. I must however be in the minority in saying that i thought that SH2 was a bit of a letdown in my opinion.

Thats funny, everyone i have spoken to has said the same, i even had the same thought it would probably be some mobile game. The last game, which i believe was on the PSVita, was an utter abomination.
 
Remake of Silent Hill 2, New game Silent Hill:Townfall and Return to Silent Hill movie based on Silent Hill 2 game confirmed.

Edit: and a Interactive Horror experience and a 2nd new Game Silent Hill f that seems to be based in Japan.

Watched it at 10, quite cool announcements. Looking forward to the remake and quite intrigued by Townfall and the Interactive Horror Experience.
 
I hope Bloober Team aren't allowed deviate too much from the original, because I don't rate them or their work at all. If they have to follow the original closely, then they don't have as much of a chance of ******* it up.

SH f is the one that interests me though. Ryukishi07 is on writing duties and some of the production team worked on RE7 as well as the REmakes of 2 and 3. A much better pedigree than Bloober.
 
Silent Hill 2 is my favourite of the series. The trailer doesn't sell it to me, but i'll keep an eye out.
It's a delicate game to remake IMO, they could easily mess this up.

The HD collection would have been enough. If it wasn't such a mess. I've been playing through the Enhanced Edition mod on PC and it's great. Such a masterpiece of a game, so can understand.

Hopefully the remaster will be good, but no one seems to have faith in Bloober. Personally, I enjoyed The Medium and reckon this remaster will be good.

From what i hear, Bloober have been working on it for a long time. The dual dimension/worlds of The Medium were supposed to be a test for a new/remastered Silent Hill game but they made a seperate game from it.

I have said it before i really enjoy the atmosphere of the SH games but when i first played it back in the day i thought it was a bit of a let down. There were specific areas that didnt seem to live up to expectations. I thought the same when i finished the HD version a while ago. Particularly the prison area, there was areas that were smashed through and an ominous breathing/voice sounds but it didnt amount to much other than a pretty poor boss fight. I actually found the boss fights in Downpour to be more of a spectacle.
