ive just found on a competitor site silent hill collection its got silent hill 2,3 and 4 i heard there meant to be good games, whats it like resident evil cause i m a big fan of that series.

VERY scary if you play it in the dark on your own. It's more or less resident evil but far more twisted.

Better than RE in my opinion but very dark games, really atmospheric and warped, 2 is by far the best of the series. I will defiantly be picking this up in the next couple of weeks.

Its the same genre, plays very much like resident evils. Good games but after the 2nd they seemed all way to weird to me!? I'd try playing through the 1st if u can on the psone it sets the story going.

oh and to note the enemys in Silent hill are some of the most disturbing things/creatures I've ever come across in a game. The lil kids with knifes in the 1st were shocking.

how easy is silent hill series is it a no-brainer like resident evil series when the puzzles only took a couple minutes to figure out.

Yeah, I would say so, its the same sort of logic, keys for doors, puzzles that appear and solve within a few rooms, not really any backtracking.

The Silent Hill series is far better thant the Resident Evil series for me, RE is more of a jumpy, in your face gore zombie fest, but SH is more psychological and mature in the genre. I would cream my pants if they remade SH1 ala RE1 on the cube, that remake brought back such great memories.

SH2/3/4 is on xbox aswell. The SH2 on xbox also has another sub plot you can play through.

A couple of them are available on PC and Xbox but you'd have a hard time finding a copy now. The collectors series (which I think should come with SH1 seeing as PS2 plays them) is only available on PS2 as far as I know.

Oh yes, I remember them, old man and snake coins for the chest of drawers, I actually thought that the boat ride on Toluca lake was the hardest thing on the way to the hotel, until I realised you had to follow the light, that took me a while, lol.

Silent Hill 2 is my fave PS2 game ever...really creapy and great atmosphere.
