I had a search for a thread on this and didn't see anything, so apologies if I missed something.

The game launches in two days, so out on the 25th and looks to be a solid entry into the series, I'm loving the setting.

Yep!
Despite it's UE5 flaws, I loved SH2R. This has an awesome The Grudge etc JDM feel. I'm all for it and have been patiently waiting. It's cheap on Loaded for a key too ;)

The change of pace and authentic 1960's Japan vibe has really drawn me in, apparently performance is a big improvement according to some too which is a plus!

I cannot wait haha. I'm fine with it being only 8-12 hours long. Who cares, it's so cheap, and I'd rather a short SP game which you can't put down, that a dragged out filler content fest like STALKER2 was.
MGS Delta was the same for me, being an old school fan, I literally played it and finished it in one hit, till gone 4am  and it was worth every second - I'll probably do the same with this!

Agreed!

I'd also say that games like most of the Silent Hills are well deserving a second or third playthrough to really get to grips with everything that's going on coupled with any potential choices/endings that might deviate.

Yep :D I recently replayed Stutter Hill 2 Remake, and still loved it just as much as the first time :)
Well, a bit more in a way, as I had the chainsaw this time so could speedrun it!

Me to sir, me to :D

I mentioned this earlier but I've been told once or twice now that SHF is a masterclass in how to do UE5, and good lord do I hope it's not plappery.

I'd not easily guess it was a UE5 game from the visuals either to be honest, most games using it stand out a country mile.

It can be done right, MGS Delta and the Until Dawn Remake certainly don't feel nor look like UE5 engine games. They feel true to the originals, and play like it too.

Fingers crossed mate, I love the vibes this game is giving and it's strong enough that I'd be tempted to upgrade from my 4070 series if necessary and I'd like to save some cash.

I'm so-so with MGS, I love stealth games but for some reason just never got into it.

Damn you quoted me before I edited it to sound better, curses!

Yeah definitely has major potential, I just need to weigh in the final part of Cronos: The New Dawn, and I'm ready. I'll get that done by tomorrow night hopefully! I did play a bit just now, hence the later reply, but I had to turn it off, as I know what I'm like :P

Happens to me all the time!

I'm about to launch Still Wakes The Deep and try not to **** myself before bed. Had it in the library for awhile so by the time I'm done maybe I'll know better about SHF!

I've till got to play that, looked quite good if cheap enough, for a walking sim, which is a bit hit or miss for me but it can't be as bad as STALKER2
