After being disappointed by SH 3 on PC (performance still is pants for what it is and the controls.... I was looking forward to SH The Room but that turned out to be quite boring too though it ran normally.

Homecoming looks very good, it has native 360 controls too so my 360 pad will be of some use once again :D

Looking forward to some "when you see it you'll **** bricks" moments in this game, I love playing SH games and have done so since the Playstation days.

Not the end of the world I guess. With companies turning away form PC platform we should be grateful we get this at all :p

I prefer it to be on STEAM than anywhere else so no issues for me. 20MB connection will download that thing within the hour if it's a DVD title :)

not with steam it wont, steam is sloooow for downloading :p Trying to download source onto my new laptop last night and it wouldnt go above 400KB/s, get 2MB/s from other sources :(

Graphically does not look anything special just a higher res version of what has gone before. Seriously lacking polygons in places on that trailer.

But should still be very good as these games are all about atmosphere & the silent hill gameplay style.

US release is STEAM only this month but EU is in November same time as multiplatform worldwide release and it will be PC-DVD then.

That must be your laptop then - I regularly get over 2MB/sec on Steam.

Using wifi on it?

Anyhow, I'm not holding my breath about this game. The SH games since SH3 have been quite disappointing :/

Looks fun
I did liked the concept of silent hill 4 but the game sucked in the end.
This looks better but it seems like its taken a lot of ideas from resi.

I thought the first game was by far the best. The second one onwards seemed less of a complete story and more questions were raised than answered. Coming from Silent Hill one I really wanted to know what happened to the town and where everyone was etc etc.

Is that the PC version out in the states? if so then are publishers retarded? this is so getting pirated outside of the USA because of this ass release scheduling.

I don't care really now, I plan on buying it when it's out but I won't be waiting until 2009 to play it.

Also they mislead PC users by saying on steam forums for the past 2 weeks that it is coming this month for sure which is a bad move.

This is the same old pathetic excuse where they want to do a poxy all euro languages release. Why not do a England/US version instead as those are the biggest markets nowadays. This game has been getting poor reviews in the US anyway on PS3/360 and also has control issues where you cannot reverse the gamepad up down controls as the option has been omitted. Guess I could buy the US region free PS3 version now then as only £32 but it has control issues as well as a few other bugs some prevent you from even solving puzzles to finish the game without backtracking to an earlier savegame...

So far Konami have only sold 110,000 copies of this game on 360/PS3 combined so they obviously are not confident in it doing much better outside of the US.

So just have to wait for a PC version but Konami are silly as 2009 puts it very close to Resident Evil5....
