Silent Hill : Homecoming

Its good news for the PC but the game does not look great on the consoles in the screenshots so far the texture work is very low res PS2 looking so hopefully the PC version has decent graphics.

I got peed off with the low res textures of other SH games on the PC and how badly SH3 ran on the PC as well so am looking forward to this as I like these games :)

Not played a silent hill since the first which i throughly enjoyed. Might give this one a try, should fill the void while waiting for Resi 5.

Eh

The others were rubbish on the PC so I can't wait for the next??

They were no different to the console versions (they were the same game afterall.... so how it could be rubbish?) SH4 had graphical issues which were all resolved after the patch and you could play them all with a gamepad just fine.

Hmm, ive always wanted to play the silent hill games.

I had "the room" for the pc but found it to hard. Whats it like once you get into it ?

SH4: The room wasn't as good as the other SH games. It's the only one we didn't complete...

Hopefully the new one will be better :)

Sorry but your totally wrong on this.

SH2 + SH3 PC were the best versions to get and had far better graphics especially SH3 as you could select texture maps up to 4096x4096 (which even now brings some modern cards to their knees with AA). You can even get patches to modify SH2 + SH3 for modern widescreen displays.

SH4 was poor on all versions due to being a rushed release (just over a year after SH3) so the quality suffered which is why Konami disbanded their Team Silent Hill devs and outsourced SH5. SH4 was still best played on a PC as the gfx were the best and the loading times were quick as the game installed to HD as opposed to longer loading times on consoles. For all 3 SH PC games a dual stick gamepad was the best control method.

Sigh. That's not what I way saying, I was questioning mrk's logic. rtft.

SH2, SH3 and SH4 all played flawlessly on my PC, looked better and ran better than their console counterparts and that was with a Athlon XP/9800 pro system. I do agree though that SH4 felt a bit rushed in parts but I still enjoyed it very much.

As long as they keep the graphical style, atmosphere, storyline and gameplay similiar to the previous games, the next Silent Hill should be awesome also.
