Silent mid range graphics card needed

Hi guys,

my dads looking to spend around £100 on a passive cooled card to play some games - nothing too intense, at a widescreen resolution of 1600ish (I think ... might be 1400 ...).

Any suggestions?

Think you can get a Passive HD5750 1GB for around £110-£120:

The card however is dual-slot with a large heatsink, so you would have to check if you dad's case got enough room for it.

If you could stretch to the HD5770 Vapor-X the card is pretty much silent even under load. Probably the quietest (non-passive) card i've ever used, and plays anything out there no problem.

Single slot Zotac 9800GT would do the trick. Very quiet, and can cope admirably. It also overclocks quite nicely.
