silent mouse?

I think it'd be cheaper to buy ear plugs!
Just out of interest why do you want a silent mouse? It's not a requirement I've seen before.

I asked about this a while ago but had no luck. In my case it's to appease the other half who watches TV in the same room so ear plugs wont help 
there are some models available but thy look pretty rubbish. Another option is to do the following:

Obviously there is a risk of damaging the mouse so you need to be careful. I did this and it works well however I screwed up the right mouse button a bit and its ultra sensitive now.
I have found chucking a small towel/blanket over my mouse hand deadens most of the noise.
