As title really, i'm after a PSU thats as quiet as possible for an HTPC build

just needs to power an e6300, 7600GT, couple of gigs of mem, hdd's etc. nothing too serious. no overclocking will be done so doesnt need to be uber powerful

any recomendations?

Ah good stuff guys :)

i'm trying to get hold of an OrigenAE H6 or H7. the H7 preferably but which ever I find first as their in a bit of a short supply :(

tad pricey but look the business. no tacky LED's, or "bling" like buttons etc. just simple and sleek aluminium. its also a similer look to my Denon AVR1906 amp and a very similar size (just a bit longer) so will sit under that very nicely :)

Antec Fusion? That comes with a PSU too, so you can use that for now. It's a nice case to work in. Not available in black though. I use a Silverstone TJ-08 (not enough physical space on the rack for another component, MATX tower just fits)

i was looking at that, but i dont like the little volume knob thingy. just seems uneccessary and pointless to me, also the stealthed cd drive looks a bit tacky. dont really want any USB's etc on the front either. i jsut want a clean and simple look

though i do like the way its set out, especially with the 120mm fans etc

Have a look at the silverstone range, most are a single piece of alu, very bare look. also Antec NSK2400, no volume, vfd or hidden drive plate.
