Silent PSU needed!

Hi people!

i got my rig all overclocked and set to exactly how i want it except...

my psu is rather loud and as i leave it on over night sometimes, the noise tends to get annoying especially if im watching a film or TV with my TV card.

i was hoping that you more experienced builders could spec me a silent/quiet PSU because my current GameXstream is by far the loudest thing in my case and i cant even slow down the fan.

The specs of my rig should be in my signature.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated :-)

some great psu's there people and thnx for such quick replies.

the corsair seems the best 'value' choice but i've heard a few good things about the Enermax and CPC recommends that as their high end supply.

hmmm... decisions... lol

just a small side q...does the modular arrangement make a big enough difference to justify the extra cash?

lol, yeh i actually focussed on the Be Quiet ones for a while but they are only on pre-order at the mo.

i may wait till they come out and a few people have tried them on these forums :-)

i will say this though, the StealthXStream really isn't stealth. a bit of a dissapointment now that i know a bit more about building rigs.

and thanx for the input Kearney, i will give modular a go especially since i intend to go Water Cooling styly some time in the future

how did you work out your required wattage guys?

from each individual product spec or some sort of rough estimator?
