Silent PSU

Hi gonna be building a new system and I want some ideas on a good psu ,
I want to go for a quiet one and have seen the ones with no fans which have a big heatsink on the back .
It will be running a watercooled quad core system with 8800 Graphic cards in sli 2 150 gig raptors and 1 maybe 2 storage drives plus the optical drives ,
So any sugestions would be great.

I think for that system a Corsair 620W would be ideal. Pretty much the best PSU on the market at the moment, and very, very quiet.

You need a silent psu but will have raptors? Not had one myself but from many reports theyre not the quietest drives. Perhaps look at samsung drives for quiet/ performance ratio.
As for psu perhaps look at the corsair 620w, it does have a 120mm fan but is far from loud.

Raptors are quite quiet if suspended... They are quiet for a 10k rpm drive, as long as you avoid the 36gb one.

I've got 3 samsung spinpoints in my case (eclipse 62) along with a corsair 620, it's sat right next to my left ear and the noise is minimal, I'd recommend the corsair anytime.

corsair very very quiet here too, masked by a couple yate loons tbh!
