ok, if i use nero 7 to burn avi's to a dvd (it does the menu, codeing, the lot basically for you) but when i play it on my dvd player, its dead silent, and i have to turn the tv sound RIGHT up to max which as you can guess makes the sound really crap quality. like all (how to describe) 'scchhhhzzzzhhzhzhhzh...' lol

any ideas?

try updating nero

or use winavi/convertxtodvd

It can certainly create Chapters, and can output to DVD Video Files, ISO (image) or can burn direct blank DVD.

I would suggest playing around with it to see if it does what you want of it, it is free...

If it does not do menu's as well, you might want to use it in conjunction with DVD Styler which does.
