Buy a new psu. Its not worth the risk, both you to and to your computer, trying to repair it tbh.

Not sure he can, it's an integrated PSU.

RMA all the way matey.

all the fans connected to the case, the mb chipset and cpu block and fan are fine, the psu is working fine it seems. Do you think i could just replace the fans as i cant afford to lose the machine at the mo.

its running at 50-55c is that dangerous? its an Athlon x2 3800

Nope, that's fine. You should be able to replace the fans if they're of a standard fitting. AFAIK the AC fans are somewhat special in the way of size/shape, you might have to get replacements directly from them.

is it not bad to run the psu with no fan? at the mo i have it on the floor with the sides off to get more air, i should go get a case now?

The PSU should be cooling actively, avoid using the PC until you get a replacement fan or PSU. By fine I meant fine for the CPU.

Get on to Artic Cooling on their distributor and get a replacement PSU fan.

If its still under warranty, just get a replacement. I wouldn't want to mess about with taking the PSU apart to fit a new fan tbh.

ok got a new case and psu from a local shop a Hiper R-type, case & cpu not as cool as before 40 - 42 but that may be the weather.

I will RMA the other one

Another thing to be aware of with this case is that the 'rubber hangers' which attach to the Hard Drive muffler are likely to become degraded and snap.

Out of the four rubber hangers supplied with the case three of them have snapped and as a temporary repair I have used rubber O-rings.

Contacting Arctic Cooling via their website requesting information as to where I might get replacements was totally useless as they never replied, the same thing happened when one of my nephews snapped the door off the case, emailed Arctic Cooling and once again no response.

At the weekend all bits and bobs are being transferred from the Arctic Cooling case to a Gigabyte 3D Aurora.
