I have been looking at youtube and the Silkroad Online website and this game looks fantastic.

Anyone that plays it care to tell me a little about it?

i've played it, got a lvl 42 archer.

left game because of bots, there are so many you wouldnt believe it!

it can also be hard to get on the servers at night due to the amount of people playing it.

lots of quests to do, but can get repetative very quickly.

am i allowed to post links to game forums?? if so i link you to a very handy forum with loads of info to get you started
 
The game does look very good. Don't know what class to try? I have played Warcraft and had a Warlord Hunter so I might try something different. Is there a Mage class of somesort?
 
Yes, the nukers are the most powerful build, from what I've read.

I did play for a bit. Beautiful, but not my sort of thing. I'm not really an MMO sorta guy.
 
there is a big update due on this game, bringing in a whole new continent with all new classes to play.

also forgot to mention in previous post that there are jobs u can do once you reach lvl 20

Trader, Hunter and thief. Never really got into that side of the game although i did do a couple of trade runs which in a big group can be loads of fun :)

I played it a little and didn't think it was very good. Took forever to connect to servers (always an error) and when i finally got onto a server i found that it was so laggy! Just didn't look anything special to me. :o
 
Watching the videos make it look amazing, closest thing to WoW that I have seen. WoW is far too addictive, glad im not playing it anymore!

Yup. Its free and has lots of fancy flashy effects to draw in the suckers, and you can guarantee its corrupt to the core....full of farmers/bots and such like.

IF you log on and find it extremely laggy, it most propbably isn't. Try turning the view distance down and 99% of the time it goes perfectly smooth.

Took me quite a while to figure out why I had extreme 'lag' with a ping of aroung 90.
 
I was able to register and gave up after 5mins as the controls were pretty poor, but I might give it another run out tomorrow, seemed like there's plenty of people though.
