hi all

noticed the ddr2 ram has rumbers behind it (presumably the speeds) 5300 6400 etc etc

now i presume that the higher this figure the better?

if this is correct what is the best balance of cost and performance?

thanks

Loki

basically im doing a new system build primerially for gaming, was suggested to look at the crucial ballistix stuff, might try overclocking but depends how difficult it looks to be honest

If its the Ballistix stuff i am thinking of it is rated at 5300, but according to a lot of the reviews it can be overclocked very well with ease.

Personally i have the Geil 2gb Ultra low latency kit 6400, and have managed to get it running at 450MHz which is a mild overclock for the RAM (50MHz).

Will probably try higher when i get a bit time without all this poxy Microsoft revsion.
