Hey guys,
Well i installed windows 7 pro 64 bit, but not in the way i wanted it. Basically i have 2 hard disks one with xp 32 bit and the other with xp pro 64 bit. I downloaded the files from the student offer email link on my 64 bit OS and unloaded the exe file. This couldnt be done on my xp 32 bit system as that gave me an error when i tried to unload it. What i wanted was to install windows 7 over the xp 32 bit drive (format the drive/clean install). So as the exe file was working on the 64 bit xp Drive i stupidly chose to run the installation as it is on it. Even though i chose to install the win 7 OS onto the 32 bit xp drive i now have an annoying problem, which is everytime i boot up i get a dual boot option which i do not want. I would like to be able to remove/disable the hard disk with xp 64 bit on and leave the win 7 drive running alone. When i do remove the xp 64 bit hard disk i get an error message along the lines of <windows root> \system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Any ideas how i can resolve this issue?
