I should know this already considering how long I've been here but then I suppose I don't overclock that much, anyway excuses aside, when your running a 'Blend' test on orthos to check the stability of an overclock can you still use your computer as normal and leave it running in the background or is it best not doing anything extra on your machine while it's running ?.

The electric tripped out while I was running Othos :(, I managed about 7 1/2 hours on blend test, I had no errors up until that point, that's good enough though isn't it ?

That's more than good enough don't need to be obsessive for 8 hour orthos just because many enthusiasts do it.

Out of interest, what is the best time to run Orthos for? I've got 24hrs from somewhere

Is there any sort of 'offical' line? My 4GB E8400 system is good for 15hrs.

SW.

8 hours is the normal time the majority use and I would be confident after an 8 hour run too. 12 hours for some and 24 hours or more for the ones that are paranoid :D.

Yeh have to agree with J.D 8hours testing is plenty, i run it overnight depending on *** time i strt and when i get up it runs for longer, but usually aim for 8

Dont think 1 hour testing is enough, had it fail once at 4 hours.
