Silly question - is my sound card still OK to use?

Hey guys. Probably a silly question, but the plastic cover/ring on the headphone jack on my SB Audigy SE has fallen off leaving just the bare metal connection.

It's probably fine but I just want to make sure it's still OK to use without the plastic ring.
