this might be a silly question but when pc is build and installing the OS can you use a wireless mouse and keyboard?

Generally yes unless it's very old. Never had any issues with Microsoft or Logitech wireless keyboards/mice since since Windows XP.

I think he meant during install. I'm not sure this is correct. Make sure you have at least some cheapo backups.

Surely if they're Plug and Play peripherals they'd bypass the need to install drivers before they work?

They will work fine don't worry, most mice will even work in the bios screen without any problems.

I've had problems before where i wired mouse hasn't responded straight away, but did after a minute or 2.

Got a logitech wireless mouse & keyboard and both work in the bios and windows install, never a problem, just load drivers once windows is in
