why do tyres only come in black ?

is it illegal to have coloured tyres ?

can they make different coloured tyres ?
 
I think they're black because they've always been black!

Plus black tyres look the same on any colour car - green tyres on a pink car would look a little odd ;)

No reason I can see why they can't colour the tyres. You can get drift tyres that give off coloured smoke! ;)

There's also probably not an overly large market for them, hence why you wouldn't have seen them on general sale!
 
I imagine they would be more expensive, would look grubby very quickly and there hasnt been a lot of call for them.

Dont they make tyres that will generate coloured smoke when you do burnouts?
 
Because its cheap to make colourless long lasting tires.

You can get coloured ones and selectivly coloured ones.
 
From what ive read tired start off a yellow colour.

They are black because they die them(from what i read)


You can get white walls remember :D
