Im getting a new pc in a couple of days and just want to run a few questions past you guys.

Just bought a 4gig USB flash drive for driver and software tranfer im currently on a Windows Vista 32bit Laptop, my new rig is Windows 7 64bit, and was wondering can I tranfer drivers and such from the vista 32bit system and then move the drivers using the flash drive to a win7 64 bit setup using usb or would I run into problems with the file system? Do they both run NTFS?

If you have questions I shall try and answer them.:)

Oh balls got it wrong:o, im downloading the 64bit drivers to the flash drive on a 32bit vista laptop then transfering them to my new rig which has win7 64, jesus i think im confusing myself.:D

I am confused.

You wont need to install any drivers for your USB flash drive to work. Windows 7 supports a vast array of hardware "out of the box" so to speak.

Any other drivers you will need for Windows 7 will have to be 64-bit drivers.

He's just getting the 64 bit drivers for the new pc, sticking them on a usb drive then copy/install from that, while using a 32 bit os to grab the drivers.

OK makes sense now! :D

Though there is very, very high chance you can get the drivers using the Windows 7 system, since it will have built in drivers for pretty much all your hardware. The only thing I usually need to install is VGA drivers and stuff for specific devices.
