Silly Question?

Hi there,

I'm far from a hardcore gamer, however I got into COD last year and absolutely loved it. Modern warfare 2 was so addictive. Playing it on Ps3 at first and then buying the pc version was even better.

I got Black ops as soon as it came out and was pretty dissapointed. I only really like playing the team deathmatches, in MWF2 I could just select the game type and it would shoot me right into one. It was easy peasy. Now with BO I have to go through the stupid server browser, looking through all the foreign countries, looking for one that has 17/18 players in it. So I'm not waiting around. It really is a faff and then sometimes they have stupid rules, like "no running, only crouch." I'm not really into all that and there was nothing like that on modern warfare 2.

Is there some sort of way to select teamdeath match and have the computer load me into one. Or am I stuck with it?

Will modernwarfare 3 be the same, or will it be going back to the way it was?

Sort of. It was fine for me for jumping on and shooting random noobs but sort of **** on clans and dedicated teams. I quite liked it for the jump on and gun element but it had very little customisation.

not played black ops for a bit but generalyl most games like that have a quick match option where it picks a suitable server for you.

I see your point. Unfortunately I'm one of thise, jump on and shoot noobs. I don't even know what a clan is lol.

It does have a quick match option, but it fires you into random game types. Which is a bit....

lol you must be the only person on pc who thinks dedicated servers are **** as there was such an up roar with MW2 for not having dedicated servers and a lot of people dis owned the game because off it (me included) till i found alterIW which makes MW2 like Black ops with dedicated servers found a who new love for the game again lol

but joking aside find a few servers you like with rules that suite you add them to your favriotes job done you'll most off the time see the same people in the servers and is how can i put it ...a lot more 'homely' ?

I have another nooby pc gaming question. Rather than making a whole new thread, I'll keep the embarassment to the one.

I bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 through STEAM and no one is ever online. I have no idea how to play online with it. It's a disaster. Same with GTA IV Stories. STEAM keeps popping up and telling this game needs a special code bla bla and gives me it. But theres never anywhere to enter it. I can get online, but no ones ever there.

Any ideas on this. Cheers for words of wisdom so far. I'll learn to love the server browser lol.

Ages since I bought BFBC2 but if I recall correctly you need to take that serial that steam keeps popping up with and create an EA account and link it to that account so you can log in on BFBC2 and play online.

Only thing I can think of, sorry if it's of no help!
