Silly UPS question

Silly question, but never had to change a UPS battery up to now...

If I keep the UPS turned on at the mains, and remove the battery, will it still supply power to the connected equipment (but of course give no protection?)

yes, sorry its a rack mount APS one..

You should be fine then but IIRC the documentation mentioned that it would be OK so double check.

Dont keck yourself when it sparks either
