Anyone using this cooler ?
Looking at the spec of the fans it should work well but i suspect considerable noise.

How ell does it cool compared say to a D14 ?
 
Be aware that if you order this from OCUK you will get shipped a special edition instead.
I am not happy as this only has 1300 RPM fans
 
If OcUK posted the SA SB-E SE instead of SA SB-E Extreme tell them about it. They should post you the right one and take the SE back at their expense. My guess is somebody grabbed the wrong box off of shelf. The SA SB-E Extreme is still available with 5 showing in stock ;)

Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme with the TY-143 fans is only noisy if you use the extra fan speed. And you will rarely if ever need that speed as it will keep things cool at 1300rpm or less. I have the TY-143 fans on my Phanteks TC14PE and they never go above 1100rpm on my 980. ;)

PCZ, would you be happy for me to send you the non-SE version and you can send that one back to us?
 
I am worried that i will get another sent another SE rather than extreme.
Wasn't filled with confidence when i rang sales and got put straight through to the RMA department.

5UB is man. RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) needs to be done so OcUK can authorize a pickup of the SA SB-E SE you now have and send you the SA SB-E Extreme.
 
No i got the distinct impression that that was not what the RMA department were proposing to do.

When i asked if they actually had any extremes in stock they got a bit cagey.
Probably couldn't be bothered to check.

I certainly was not going to RMA this one wait for refund and in the mean time make another order for an extreme.
 
I am basically offering you, for me to go into the warehouse and pick, pack and dispatch it myself. So you will get the correct one. So you get it first, then you can send back the incorrect one.

If you are happy for me to do this, give me your order number in the Customer Service section and I will sort it all out so everything is resolved. :)

And you can RMA the one you have now.

What more can you ask for?

No need to RMA, just send it back (FAO: 5UB on the outside of the parcel). I will sort the RMA process without you having to do anything other than enjoy the new and correct cooler. :)
 
@PCZ, If you haven't already done it, just accept 5UB's offer.
This is a service you won't get with any other company.

If 5UB says he will sort it, then by god he will sort it.
It's a no-brainer, just do it:D and have a little faith.
