Im waiting for silver arrow cooler and want to ask you guys who own one if there is any temp difference between a push-push and pull-pull config. Im thinking of doing the latter so my ram is accessible.
Cheers

Set mine up today in pull pull config and I'm sure as hell not gonna take it apart again to find out if I was wrong. :)

Shouldn't be a massive difference. It just depends on the size of your memory modules.

Push-push is technically better otherwise the back fan is too close to the exhaust of your PC.

I have mine in a push-push config like in the official pick below:

Only difference is that I have the second fan attached to the second tower, which I think is better as it's pushing air directly into second tower, with no gap in between (just like the first fan).

As far as I know, push-push is preferable and I certainly have no complaints about performance. Only issue is that the cooler might block ram with tall heatspreaders, but this is not an issue since I have low profile heatspreaders on my ram.

Push push here too - each fan attached to a different tower rather than both attached to the first. Seems to work pretty well :)

.... with no gap in between (just like the first fan).

Actually I think it's better to have the fan sat back from the tower as there is a dead spot where the air doesn't move at the middle of the fan. TBH though there's not enough space to move it back far enough to get round this.

I only know that cause my old watercooling rad came with a shroud to postion the fan back from the it and I read a lot of stuff on it at the time. :)

I would have set mine up as push push as well but I've got an Asrock Pro 3 mobo which is smaller than the standard ATX mobo and the ram sits closer to the processor.

I would have had to sit one of the fans on top of the ram to have fit it in and thought it would be better to have the fan central to the tower instead of offset upwards.

My i5 at stock is sitting at 26C when idle and hasn't went above ~45 under load so far but I've not stressed it properly yet, only played a couple of games.

I might remove it and re-seat it though because I buggered up applying the thermal paste - tried to spread it like it says on the instruction card instead of applying my normal grain of rice sized blob in the centre and letting the pressure spread it out for me.

Tell me about it, I normally do the rice grain method (and it's always worked fine) but this time I decided to follow the instructions in the manual and totally screwed up, I had thermal paste all over my hands, over the cpu bracket and god knows where else. I nearly ran out of thermal paste by the end. Never again!
