Silver kill coils - How many?

I've read on another forum that you need 1 silver kill coil for 1/2 a litre of water.

Is this a fact or a myth?

I would guess true as I have seen that posted by Mayhems Dye saying that for his kill coils you should use 1 for every 1/2 litre of water and try to spread them across a loop.

I thought you only needed 1 for the entire loop :eek:

one is generally more than enough for most loops.
