Well it's been about 7 years if not more since i first became a red member and i have just received a letter saying i can now be a silver member! Well chuffed, actually going to be able to get to a weekend game for once and dare i say it a big game against one of our main rivals. Think I'm going to start the season off by taking in the Emirates cup.

EDIT

Think they've sent the letters a bit too early as the membership site isnt even showing my old red membership!

I let my red membership lapse this season, didn't use it once last year and only remember a couple of games ever being available at weekends. Anyone know how long the season ticket list is now?

Would have been worth holding onto just for chance of silver in a few years, have to start from scratch now if you change your mind. I think its pretty long for season tickets still.

Arsenal Red Member too and going to the Emirates Cup, went last season and it was really good - especially getting two games for your money. Also got to see a few games so i'll be renewing...

Joined the waiting list for a season ticket a couple of years back and was something like 29,000 - think the waiting list is something like 20 years at the mo - in other words bonkers!! Although was offered a club level season ticket but the £2,450 was too high lol

I think I managed to get a silver membship straight away. Do you have pay each year? If so - then I'm no longer a silver member lol

Edit - it appears not. Damn...

Hopefully going to see the sunday emirates cup.

Hamburg - Juve and Arsenal - Real Madrid.

Very tempting for the price. Will go with my mate who has two red memberships (his brother has one).

Got tickets to the West Brom game :D, my first saturday game in years!

EDIT

Forgot about the Emirates Cup, well the first League game on a saturday in years anyway!

I didn't go at all last year, knee's been to bad to want to trek across london. the 3 years before that as a bog standard red member never had trouble getting tickets really, harder at Highbury obviously, but easy as pie at the emirates.

Was a bit peeved with them as my red membership lapsed after 3 years as i renewed and about 3 weeks later got an e-mail saying its lapsed, phoned to find out that the payment failed and they wouldn't stick me back up the list.

Meh, at some point when I'm rich enough to afford a decent season ticket i'll get that, when i get to the top of that list, in i50-60 years :p

Emirates cup, should be decent, it will no doubt be a half of mostly first team followed by a crapload of sub's, but still worth seeing.

I still don't quite understand why so many teams play only poo teams in preseason. Arsenal's mix of random teams for fitness + a couple small tourneys against much much higher level opposition to get a bit of sharpness back works really well.

I'd love to be bumped up to silver level membership, does it just go on time spent being a member or does going to matches help? I only managed one Home game last season, against Sunderland.

Purely queue based, you have to wait for everyone in front of you to take up the option / pass it up in order to get a chance. Takes bloody years but should speed up now we're at Ashburton Grove. I didn't make a single game last year due to new baby etc but am going to make up for it this year :D.
