My mother got the above digi camera for her christmas from my brother, so she decided to get a SD memory card, she got the scandisk 1gb version however when ive stuck it in the camera takes ages to load up and still doesnt recognise the new memory, ive tried formatting from withing the camera menu and from the pc but nethier worked and ive ran out of ideas, anyone able to help?

Download this programe and use it to format the card from your PC, panasonic sd formatter

can you shove the sd card in something else to make sure that it works?
