silverlight? a nono?

hi guys,

my missus wants to watch ITV catch up (ITVs version of 4oD and BBC iPlayer) and it requires Silverlight...

is it gonna be a dirty plugin that gets its claws into all sorts of stuff or is it a reasonably unintrusive app that i can get rid of later?

i'm on a nice fresh leopard install at the mo and dont want to mess up the uber-neatness

AFAIK, no.

It's a tiny plug-in, Microsoft are really pushing it at the moment so they've put a fair bit of effort into getting it as small and light as flash.
