Hi folks,

Only just realised how close the new season is, so thought I'd start this thread to see if people are interested in predicting again this year! When Howard stepped down last year I said I'd try my best to carry it on, though I can't promise to be as comprehensive or speedy as him with the results!

First of all, the extension of the game to cover all matches seemed to work well last year, so unless there are any objections, we'll do the same this time. Gameweeks should be pretty obvious, but since I'll be starting the threads I'll probably keep them as close as possible to the Premier League's own prediction game 'I Know the Score', for those that play it (is there an OcUK league for this too?)

Secondly, it would be great if someone was willing to help me with doing the results! Need to refine my spreadsheet before the season starts but would be happy to send a copy to anyone who's willing.

Cheers everyone, looking forward to the new season :)

Don't quote me on this, but I think it's in memory of a forum member who died. Must've searched for it as it happened before I started predicting.

Sounds a good thing to join but we need details of where to sign up for this unless it's a closed shope for those in the know

You don't have to sign up - just posted this thread to gauge interest and as a reminder to last year's players!

Will create a thread for the first week before the season starts, with the matches that week, all you have to do is predict the scores.

This is last season's thread which contains the rules, but obviously ignore the schedule!

Thanks for the offer Shamikebab. Might have to take you up on it after a couple of weeks if it all gets too much! ;)

The spreadsheet does most of the calculations but the time consuming aspect is entering everyone's predictions. Found out very quickly last year that trying to put everyones' in at once is a pain, much easier to do them over the course of the week as people predict.
